Needs of water in life

I recently wrote about the importance of water in life on Earth. It is clear: there is no life without water. No substance could replace it. It is a mayor constituent of every life form. A human being can survive without food, vitamins and light for a certain time, but only a couple of days without water. Considering that, I think we have been taking it too much for granted. The water deserves to be treated with respect. Here are some convincing facts about it:
1) It fulfills cellular and inter-cellular space.
2) Participates in all chemical reactions in the body.
3) Carries nutrients and waste products.
4) Dissolves minerals, vitamins and amino acids.
5) Regulates body temperature.
6) Helps in proper digestion of food.
7) Allows normal movement of joints.
8) Protects eyes, spine and brain of stress and shock.
Obviously, the body cannot work without it.
We find the water in all human tissues, from muscle to bone. However, the body does not have the ability to store water reserves. It is, therefore, of great importance to drink it regularly. The thirst is a natural mechanism through which the organism comes to know that it needs water. Unfortunately, we feel the thirst only when we are about to dehydrate. So do not wait to feel the thirst. Drink water throughout the day and increase its intake if you lose more body fluid than usual.
We ingest the water through foods or beverages and excrete it from the body through urine, feces, respiration and sweating. The water intake, which comes from food, is slightly lower than that from drinks. It is healthier to drink clear water than to drink other beverages such as soft drinks, coffee, tea or alcohol drinks.
Dehydration is a condition that appears when the loss of water from the body exceeds the intake of water in the body. It can vary from mild to those with fatal consequences, and it is mostly related with some diseases which symptoms are vomiting or diarrhea, or both. It is also common in excessive sweating.
Chronic dehydration is a less obvious loss of body fluids than dehydration. It occurs in persons that have not been drinking enough water per day for many years. Bad habit of this type can become a serious problem for your health for various reasons. If the brain does not receive enough liquid it cannot operate normally. Shortly, we get headache. That is an often symptom of dehydration. The kidneys need adequately water to filter out waste and toxins from the body. If there are not enough fluid intakes, they can malfunction. That condition can also lead to kidney stone formation. It is necessary to drink adequate amounts of water to enable a normal digestion of food.
You can now understand why it is crucial to drink enough water daily. Do not replenish it! Yes, the water is indeed more valuable than it seems at first sight! Drink at least eight glasses of water a day, and more if necessary. The water enables the body to function properly and helps in the prevention of several diseases. It is truly vital to the good life. You should respect it!
